Rhythm n’ Breath Yoga

Tonia’s style of teaching brings to life her passion for making yoga accessible to all. She values the process of self-enquiry, to help deepen our own understanding of ourselves and our individual journeys, on and off the mat.

She believes in understanding the “why” and focuses on introducing anatomy to her students to enrich them with knowledge of the physical form, as well as providing guidance into the emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga.

“I find it a huge privilege to be able to share my passion for Yoga, Movement, Anatomy and Healing through sound to help people incorporate these practices into their lives. My core beliefs and values are kindness to all, always having an open and inquisitive mind, being respectful of one another, and of course smile and have fun!”

Tonia completed her 200 hours of teacher training with Contemporary Yoga in 2017 and Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release Training in 2017. Tonia is also qualified in Sports Massage at AUT .

She also offers group and private Sound Baths.

Tonia teaches yoga in Auckland, her yoga practice is located at The Contemporary Yoga Centre in Remuera.

RNB Yoga Testimonial:

“Tonia’s class was a godsend at a time when I was suffering from burnout. Her class helped me not only move my body but to help me find calm and a wee slice of time for me to nurture myself. Her approachable and kind nature made it easy to turn up to class being newish to yoga practice, and her welcoming style meant I did not feel like I had to have the latest fashion gear or a “yoga body” to even walk into the studio. I felt comfortable, supported and non-judged at a time when I really needed it. Tonia was a practical, detailed and caring teacher. Her classes are a truly safe and diverse space for anyone to practice regardless of your experience/age/circumstance and as an added bonus the wisdom she shares along the way about the mind/body connection and body systems helped deepen the practice. Her sound bowl playing is heavenly, and was a highlight of the end of the class sending me home with that innate sense of peace that I really needed. Thank you so much Tonia, you have a rare gift of empathy and care for others which shines through practice and ultimately helped me get my mojo back”

Welcome to Rhythm n Breath Wellness & Yoga

Hello, and thank you for visiting my site. I run a small boutique studio in Remuera at The Contemporary Yoga Centre.

With a maximum of 14 people per class I keep it intimate, therefore I am able to focus on everyone throughout the whole class.

I offer a beginners 6 week course. The foundation's of Yoga. Covering the breath, movement and asanas (poses).

I also offer Yin, Restorative Yoga and Movement with 1:1 sessions for those that want to delve deeper into their practice.

Sound is a big part of my offering that I weave throughout my classes. I also offer monthly sound baths. And private sound baths.

This is a great way to de-stress and give some time back to yourself. The practice is a lying meditation and helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

I believe yoga should be accessible to all, regardless of fitness levels and experience. I very much look forward to welcoming you to my studio soon. Please message me with any questions you may have.
